An old Welsh Dresser we found on the net
it was Unloved and Unwanted and ready for the tip.
Remove the drawers, Doors and strip the item down and fix anything that need fixing once stripped Clean/sand all surfaces
Base now stripped I found the drawer stops have broken
on the right and new ones need making
Drawer stops in placeDrawer stops missing
Fix the outside glue any bits back on, we fire a staple in to, this will hold
the wood in place while the glue is drying, the staple can be removed later
Prep the unit, Sand the top down.
Choose your colour and add the first coat.
Make new back stops for the drawer.
Fold the paper around the old back stop to make a template
Fold the paper around the crease lines and draw around it.
We glue and staple them in place
Strip the drawers down and sand them inside and out ready for waxing.
pop the staples out and strip the drawer down
this is how they should look once you have re-built them
Fix the top half of the dresser glue the top rail back in and paint up.
This is the end of part 1, This shows what can be done in only a few hours
